WELCOME to MAD Cage

The Gauge Cage was invented and designed by Fred McKenzie in Brisbane, Australia in 1992 to address a problem with abused rental equipment.
The Gauge Cage was so successful that he set about designing cages for all the mainstream gauge combos and gained international patent protection. The Cages are made of marine grade stainless steel which is non-magnetic (will not effect compasses) and is extremely strong.
The cages are designed to afford full visual access to the screen and all necessary manual access to buttons and switches etc. In testing they have proven to be strong enough to run over them in a motor vehicle (although we do not recommend this practice). They are very easily removed and re-fitted and secured with one or more plastic cable ties. They are designed in such a way as when fitted properly they do not touch the gauge/computer anywhere. All contact is with the combo boot, so any impact is absorbed by the boot and not the gauge. They are also designed in such a manner as to allow the user to tether the combo by applying a plastic clip to the cage from the divers BCD.
